Tried the video chat on Omegle later this evening, and found that because my looks (bald and older) that most of the teenagers and young adults either laughed or swore at me.
I sent another feedback to Omegle, (which will be my last unless they reply).
So, if you're a young adult or teenager, you may find that the Video chat is more entertaining...

Thanks for the great article on Omegle, Stuart -- and here is my e-mail modified for blogging as you suggested.

Just to let all of the readers know, that I tried the Omegle.com service out this morning and here are my comments.

My 4th conversation or chat was about politics -- and the stranger and I reached a consensus on the growing socialism system in North American countries. The first 3 chats were not very useful and somewhat uncomfortable as the intentions were mostly to find someone in a personal relationship. Nice thing, was that the conversations can be terminated immediately without risking too much with personal information disclosure.

I'm not sure about the security policy of Omegle. I sent an request through the feedback link and hope to get a reply soon. Kind of bizarre that this experiment doesn't have a lengthy legal framework, like some of the more popular ones.

Overall, I found that this might be a refreshing way to meet people without requiring involuntary "molding" like MySpace into sharing demographics that you really don't want. Hopefully, I will be able to get some answers about the company that is maintaining this service before I do much more with it.
